After achieving some success with their self-titled debut and follow-up Plastic Letters, it was the band's third album Parallel Lines however that turned them in to worldwide stars, partly as a result of smash hit single Heart of Glass.
Since then, the band have enjoyed continued success, with hits including Sunday Girl, One Way or Another, and The Tide Is High.
The band split in 1982, with lead singer Deborah Harry embarking on a solo career, but reuinted in 1998 to top the charts once more with single Maria and album No Exit. 2004 saw the release of latest album The Curse Of Blondie.
