Detroit garage rock duo The White Stripes achieved critical and commercial success with their third album White Blood Cells off the back of singles such as Fell in Love with a Girl.
The 2003 follow-up Elephant, which contained the modern anthem Seven Nation Army, was even more successful, and this, coupled with spectacular live performances at recent festivals, has confirmed that The White Stripes are one of the most exciting bands around.
